Groningen - Retrospective

Bas was utterly destroyed after all the cycling, but that will heal. Three days after we returned he could wear shoes again. Overall he had done better than I had anticipated: despite the lousy weather we cycled nearly 300 km in 3 days. If his legs hadn't hurt as much and the weather had been better, we likely would have made it to Oude Schip. If he trains (a lot) more and buys a better bike, he is allowed to join again sometime. He also made Jorien sign a written declaration that she would join next time.

 

The route was nice, especially the area around Arnhem and the Veluwe. The weather was terrible. Hopefully, we all go again sometime when the sun is out.
